| went to watch a friend re-tune his supercharged mustang last night .... no wideband info unfortuantely .. mustang owner increased timing on his car and was using 94 octane pump gas ..no detonation last week .. this week gas stations started switching to using the additive ethanol ... recently he started detonating above 5k on the same pump gas ... I know that this is not scientific at all .. just figured I'd share the info ... on highly modded upgraded Z's - we may want to back the boost down a few psi until there is concrete evidence that the additive does not lean out the A/F at all .. unless someone wants to run max boost in the 1/4 mile to provide the proof on pump gas ..
